Help Me!

Last night was a rough night for sleeping. I tossed and turned all night and kept waking up randomly expecting it to be bright outside but it was still dark ...
At one point I woke up to a squeaky voice. I was a little confused because it sounded like mewing (baby kitten meows) but I could have sworn there were words mixed in it. That's ridiculous, I thought, It must be Leslie trying to be silly ... maybe they need me to get up and do something before they head off to work. BUT as I listened to it again it was a pretty convincing mew. A pretty convincing mew with the audible words "Help me" mixed in it. Now I didn't know what to think anymore so I sat up in bed. I sleep with my door open so I sat there and looked out. One of the cats walked by and meowed and then the other cat walked up to my door, looked in right at me and mewed Help Me. I just sat there and stared at him. So he mewed it again. I was feeling a little like Dr. Doolittle so I got up and walked over to him. He quickly ran on still mewing and stood in front of the door that led upstairs where they like to hang out. The door is always open, but this time it was closed completely shut. He mewed Help Me again so I opened the door for him and he and Max (the other cat) ran upstairs.
I stood there dazed and confused when Erin came hurrying out of her room. She asked what was up and I told her that the door was closed then mumbled something out not knowing cats could talk and went off back to bed. She probably thought I was crazy. I think I'm crazy.
