Poetry Slam

Last night I attended my first poetry slam.
During the winter some friends of mine started a poetry society here in Rexburg called the MidMorning Mackles. Since I am back, I joined up with them and last night was our first meeting of the semester. It was attending a poetry slam in Idaho Falls.
Can I just tell you, I love poetry. There was such a wide variety of poems and performances and I loved everyone of them. It was very inspiring and I would like to experiment in writing my own poetry. I write lyrics, but poetry is a little different. It should be fun.
I want to challenge you to write a poem (and share it cause I would love to hear it!)
Once I get my first poem written I will post it.
