WANTED: a tambourine

I really want a tambourine (and any other cool instruments I can lay my hands on). So to be proactive in this desire I went thrift store shopping with Mum and Becky. We started at the thrift store that I always shopped at during high school. It's cleaned up a bit but the only thing I found was a nice pair of heels. Then we went to Salvation Army. Here Becky hit the jackpot. Her dreams came true with a pair of roller blades (the same feet! haha!). After that it was time for Becky to head back to work, so Mum and I dropped her off and we decided to try another thrift store. We decided it would be nicer because everything goes towards cancer ... I don't know. Even I don't understand our logic at times. BUT we were right! This is my new favorite thrift store. It was full of fun vintage items at decent prices. I tried on a great 60s dress but it was a tad small. There lots of great hats and furs. It made me happy inside. But my treasure that I ended up buying was a magazine title "Paperbag." It's an issue dated from Feb 1968 and the cover has a psychedelic picture of a hand doing a peace sign. That's just the beginning! The articles are hilarious and dripping with pure hippie-ness. I learned how to make a trippy, homemade light show. That's going to be one of my activities this week. So even though I didn't find my tambourine today I came out on top.

maybe this week should be your practice light show and next week you can have the real thing!
